Privacy Policy for ReplayFM

Last updated: 29 July 2026 · The German version is the governing legal text.

1. Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy applies to the current release of the ReplayFM Android app. The developer and provider is JK-LAB. Contact: support@jk-lab.de. Further provider details are available in the Imprint.

2. Data stored locally

ReplayFM stores app settings, local recordings, playback positions, and recording manifests and technical metadata in the app’s internal storage. If Premium entitlement state is cached locally, that state is also part of the local app data. This data supports the features selected by the user.

3. Recordings

A recording is created only after an explicit user action. Recordings are kept in the app’s internal storage using the existing protected RFM architecture with AES-GCM. Exporting and sharing recordings are not supported in the current release. ReplayFM does not send recording content to the developer. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for this data. Uninstalling the app may delete local recordings.

4. Internet connections and radio streams

ReplayFM connects to station catalogue and search servers and to the radio stream servers selected by the user. These external servers technically receive the IP address and standard network connection data. JK-LAB does not control the privacy practices of every radio station or stream provider. Stream availability and content are determined by the relevant provider.

5. Google Play Billing

Premium purchases are processed by Google Play. ReplayFM does not receive or store the user’s full payment details. Google may process purchase, device and account data under its own policies. Premium entitlement restoration and verification use Google Play infrastructure.

6. Analytics and diagnostics

The current release has no first-party analytics SDK and no first-party crash-reporting SDK. It does not automatically send diagnostic reports to JK-LAB. Automatic Diagnostic Error Reports are not implemented. No diagnostic endpoint exists or is used.

7. App permissions

Internet access is used for the catalogue, search, live streams and recording. Foreground services keep background playback and recording or necessary data synchronization visible to the user. Notifications show ongoing activity and controls where Android requires permission. ReplayFM does not request additional location, camera, microphone or contacts permissions.

8. Retention and deletion

Local recordings can be deleted within ReplayFM. Settings and other local app data are removed when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to standard Android behaviour. ReplayFM has no user accounts, so account deletion does not apply. Data held by third-party services is governed by their own retention and deletion rules.

9. Children

ReplayFM is not specifically directed at children and does not create child accounts.

10. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated when app features, technical processes or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.

11. Contact

Questions about ReplayFM or this Policy can be sent to support@jk-lab.de. Guidance for technical requests is available on the Support page.
